Types of Braces

Traditional Metal Braces

Metal braces are the most common type of braces. These metal brackets are strong and can withstand most treatments, which make them a good choice for anyone seeking orthodontics. We offer two different types of metal brackets. One type is called a ‘Twin bracket’ and the other is a ‘Self-ligating Bracket.’ We determine the best type of treatment for each patient depending on their individual needs.

Clear Esthetic Braces

Not everyone is a candidate for Invisalign, which is why we offer Clarity Advanced for a clear alternative to metal braces. Unlike most offices, we offer this option to patients of all ages including children! These brackets work similar to the traditional metal, but are clear instead! Because they are clear, they blend with the natural color of your teeth, making them less noticeable than traditional braces. You have the option of using tooth-colored or brightly colored elastics, depending on how discreet you would like your braces to be.

Invisalign

Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created just for you. These aligners are made of a virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth and change every 2 weeks throughout the course of treatment. The best part about Invisalign is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth! Invisalign is not the preferred treatment for all patients, though, so it is best to talk to your orthodontist about all treatment options.
